A positive Development: Facts and Figures


The company Weserland GmbH is officially founded. Formerly a section of the company Weserland KG and later Colournfabrik von Höveling GmbH, the textile auxiliaries department goes independent after forty years of functioning on its own.

The company is based in Hanover-Stöcken. Approx. 15,000 m2 in size, the company grounds accommodate production sites, development departments and the administration headquarters.

In November Weserland is certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9.001 (after 18 months of intensive preparation) by DQS Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Zertifizierung von Qualitätsmanagementsystemen.

Weserland passes combined environmental testing unique at the time certification in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14.001 and 9.001 as well as validation associated with it in accordance with the EC Eco-Audit Directive. During the same year the company receives the "GREEN Future Award '99" for its BABO-1 Eco-Carpet.

Walter Anklam, the General Manager since 1991 along with Jürke Merkel, becomes a co-partner of Weserland GmbH.

Mr. Roy Schnau was been appointed as General Manager and thus considered to be successor of Mr. Jürke Merkel.

Mr. Stefan Bourgeois has been appointed as General Manager and replacing Mr. Walter Anklam from the board. 

Mr. Roy Schnau and Mr. Stefan Bourgeois take over the shares of Mr. Walter Anklam and become shareholders.
